May Wedding Flowers at Copdock Hall

May is one of my favourite months for wedding flowers, with so many beautiful seasonal blooms to choose from. Ella and Carl were married at Copdock Church before celebrating with family and friends at nearby Copdock Hall in Suffolk.
The flowers reflected the softness of the season while still having plenty of impact. They chose a palette of light pinks, darker pinks, cerise, white and burgundy, creating a look that felt elegant while still being full of colour.
I used a selection of peonies, sweet peas, ranunculus, spray roses and astrantia throughout the bouquets and arrangements. Each flower brought something different, from the layers of the peonies to the scent of the sweet peas and the texture of the astrantia.
The bridesmaids carried simple bouquets made entirely of peonies. Sometimes keeping things simple has the biggest impact, and the peonies looked beautiful on their own, complementing the bridal bouquet perfectly.
One of the nicest parts of my job is hearing from couples once the celebrations are over. A few days after the wedding, Ella sent me the loveliest message:
"The bouquets were spectacular, and so many of our guests commented on the wonderful scent of the sweet peas as they walked into the church."
She also told me that the flowers had exceeded their expectations and that seeing the venue transformed was everything they had hoped for. Reading messages like that never gets old and reminds me why I love doing what I do.
Every wedding is different, and that's what makes this job so rewarding. I love getting to know each couple, understanding the feel they want for their day, and creating flowers that reflect them and the season they're getting married in.
