An Elegant Spring Wedding at Gaynes Park

Klaudia and Alistair’s May wedding was everything a spring celebration should be – light, joyful and full of love. With their ceremony at the charming Bobbingworth Church and a relaxed, sun-filled reception at Gaynes Park, it was a day that felt effortlessly beautiful from start to finish.

Bobbingworth Church is a lovely, peaceful little spot tucked away in the Essex countryside. It’s full of character and warmth, which made it the perfect setting for a heartfelt and intimate ceremony. The flowers were designed to complement the space with a soft colour palette of mostly white and a hint of pale lemon yellow, bringing a fresh and timeless feel to the day.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to Gaynes Park, one of those venues that just has everything. With its historic barn, beautiful orangery and walled gardens, it offered the perfect mix of rustic charm and elegant detail. The warm, sunny weather meant guests could really enjoy the surroundings, with drinks and photos in the gardens as the sun streamed in.

For their florals, Klaudia and Alistair wanted something refined and elegant, with a natural, romantic feel. We worked with a mix of peonies, hydrangeas, ranunculus, anemones and sweet peas – each one chosen for the texture, scent and softness they bring to a wedding.

Peonies were at the heart of the design. Loved for their full, ruffled petals and soft scent, they always feel special and bring a real sense of occasion. Klaudia’s bouquet was made entirely of white peonies, which suited her elegant dress and the modern-romantic style of the day beautifully.

Hydrangeas added fullness and softness to the larger arrangements. Their generous, cloud-like heads are brilliant for creating impact in ceremony displays and table centres, especially in a classic white palette.

Ranunculus brought a layered, delicate texture. These little blooms are perfect for adding detail and movement, and their petal structure always catches the light in such a pretty way.

Anemones added a slightly more modern edge. Their dark centres and clean white petals offered contrast and depth.

Sweet peas, with their fluttery petals and soft fragrance, were tucked into all the floral arrangements which were repurposed throughout the day. A gentle nod to late British springtime at its best.

After the wedding, Klaudia and Alistair sent the kindest message:

“Just wanted to say a massive thank you for all the work you put into our wedding flowers – they were everything we could have wished for and more. We got so many compliments and they were the standout part of the wedding, both at the church and at Gaynes Park! We really appreciated all the effort by you and your team, and how seamless everything was on the day. Thank you so much!”
