Soft Light & Spring Colour: A Beautiful May Wedding
Charlotte & Aaron, May 2025
Old Parish Rooms, Rayleigh, Essex
Charlotte and Aaron’s late May wedding at the Old Parish Rooms in Rayleigh was soft, romantic and full of gentle springtime charm. Their day had a calm, elegant feel, with a colour palette of white, pastel pink and pale blue that set the tone beautifully.
The Old Parish Rooms in Rayleigh is a lovely, welcoming venue with character and warmth, perfect for an intimate ceremony. The flowers were designed to complement the space, creating arrangements that felt natural and timeless. For their bouquets, table arrangements and ceremony displays, we used peonies, roses, sweet peas, corncockle, delphinium, stocks and snapdragons. Each chosen for their texture, scent and ability to feel effortlessly romantic.
Peonies and roses added fullness and a soft, luxurious feel. Sweet peas and corncockle brought delicate, fluttery movement, while delphinium, stocks and snapdragons added height and structure to the displays. Every arrangement was designed to feel considered but effortless, letting the beauty of the blooms speak for themselves.
After the wedding, Charlotte and Aaron sent the kindest message:
“Rachel, oh my goodness, I cannot thank you enough for Sunday. The flowers were absolutely incredible and looked so perfect. Literally every single detail was a dream. They smelt devine too. They were just incredible couldn’t have of wished for more perfect flowers you did an amazing job. Thank you”
It’s always so rewarding to see a couple’s vision come to life and know the flowers played a part in making their day feel as special as they imagined.
